Hearing His Voice… Loud.

Pinterest

Yikes! I didn’t realize how long it had been since I sat down to write. This just shows you a bit about where I am in life. Crazy. Busy.

I hope to share it all soon, but in the meantime, I can say say this… He’s been speaking to me LOUD. Sometimes He speaks in whispers, in a quite voice, with a gentle nudging. Lately, though, His voice… It’s gotten a little louder. Sometimes, even, such an attention grabber, in your face voice that you can’t ignore it any more than Saul could have ignored the glaring, blinding light that brought him to his knees and changed his very core… forever.

The two main words or phrases that we’ve been hearing repeatedly over the last couple of months?

Let go.

Trust.

Maybe even get wet a little… or a lot.

And then there was this.

God doesn’t call us to be comfortable. He calls us to trust Him so completely that we are unafraid to put ourselves in situations where we will be in trouble if He doesn’t come through. – Francis Chan

This is where we are living right now. This is where we are letting go and trusting. This is where we are hearing His voice… loud. And this is what I hope to share with you soon.

What does His voice sound like to you right now?

Oh this hits home!! So many times I hear him….but I seem to waiver, is this me or is this God… or the enemy.
    Should I, or shouldn’t I??? So what do I do…
NOTHING!!! And unfortunately He has to do something BIG to get my attention. By then I end up defeated and broken. If I had only listened in the beginning. He knows what is best for all of us!

Loud is good. I sometimes barrel through the quiet whispers. We serve such a patient God, don’t we?

Now you’ve got me curious. I’m glad you’re hearing His voice loud and clear. Let go and trust. Boy, that is something we all should do and it isn’t always easy.
Thank you for sharing on Spiritual Sundays.

      Sheila,
So glad you “found me”! :) I hope I can always be real; otherwise, honestly what’s the point right? If you want to talk more about your depression and would like to hear what worked for me, feel free to email. I’ve got to get a post written sometime on that as well!! :)
