A Precious Gift

Congratulations to Judy from Cranberry Morning, the winner of the Day Spring Store giveaway!

Time is free, but it’s priceless. You can’t own it, but you can use it. You can’t keep it, but you can spend it. Once you’ve lost it you can never get it back. Harvey MacKay

The older I get, the more aware of how true this statement is and how important it is to use my time to it’s fullest. Join me today, here: Homemakers Challenge as I talk about how schedules actually help us to use this precious gift of time to it’s fullest!

And today, I continue to count the gifts, especially that of time! {160-165}

*24 hours that I’ve been given to live life to the fullest
*each moment I have because I never know if this one will be my last
*grace, because without it I’d be lost
*that His strength is made perfect in my weakness, because these days the weakness seems to shine through
*the joy of looking forward to spending a beautiful holiday with family
*cranberries – because, well, I love them and this is the time of year I get to enjoy them!

What is your favorite way of spending your precious gift of time?

You are welcome! That is one thing I really try and keep at the forefront of my mind. After loosing my mom, my husbands dad, my best friend and my little girl, I am SO aware that all we really have is right now!

my husband died at 29… the man I married later lost his son at 9 months… when we blended together we knew it was only by God’s grace we walked… just passing through this old earth… eyes heavenward till the end… past the sickness, depression, and loss… He carries us through… God bless

You are so right… HE carries us through. I’m so sorry about your first husband, but so good to hear God blessed you again!

  2. Laura says:

I like the simple things best: time with family in good conversation, pondering the way the sun shines on water, deep in the Word…Thanks for making me think about this today, Chelsey. I think I’m going to get off the computer now…

  3. Joan says:

Each moment is a gift from God and it is wise to not take it for granted. “This is the day that the Lord has made! Let us rejoice and be glad in it!” (Psalm 11:24). I am rejoicing today!

    Blessings, Joan

P.S. Thanks for linking up this week!
